Many people have questions about insurance and their coverage. On this page we will answer some common questions and also provide links to other insurance-related sites. We will update this page frequently, so be sure to check back!

Here are examples of some common motor insurance questions.

Q: What is a motor policy?

A: There are two main types of motor policies. Third party cover and comprehensive cover.

Q: What is a Third Party Cover?

A: A Third Party Insurance policy covers your liability towards other road users including pedestrians and damage to Third Party's immovable property or structure. In case of an accident we will indemnify the Third Party. However, we will not repair damage to your own vehicle.

Q: What is a Comprehesive Cover?

A: A Comprehensive Insurance policy includes Third Party cover and in addition covers repairs to your own vehicle, fire and theft.

Q: Can I cancel my Motor Insurance policy?

A: You can cancel your Motor Policy at any time. However, there may be a charge for doing so to cover our administrative expenses. This means that your policy will be cancelled at the short-period rate. The insurer also has the right to cancel your policy.

Q: What is an Excess on my policy?

A: The excess is the amount that you have to bear in case of a claim. If you are at fault you will not get this money back. However, if you are not to blame for the cause of the accident we do our utmost to recover this money for you from the Third Party's insurer. In certain situations we will even provide you with a Legal Adviser.

Here are examples of some common homeowners insurance questions.

Q: What is a homeowners policy?

A: A homeowners policy protects your home against fires, theft and floods.

Q: Are all policies alike?

A: No, there are a number of different policies and it is important to choose the one that is right for you.
